The Mile End Mission is honoured to have received the deputy medal from Quebec’s National Assembly, for “25 years of mutual assistance, support, solidarity and dignity.” The medal was presented by our dear friend, Mr. Amir Khadir, at our Open House last Saturday. Mr. Khadir himself is no stranger to helping out the community—his dedication to the Mission for numerous years is a testament to this. In the past, Amir and his staff have brought Christmas baskets and made home-cooked meals for the members, as well as providing financial support and assisting in any way they can. The Mission is grateful to be recognized for twenty-five years of commitment to individuals in the Mile End who need it the most. We look forward to many more years of service!
